Toitu Early Settlers Museum Trip

We went to the Toitu Early Settlers Museum to look at inventions made by the Maori people and the early settlers. We saw a canoe made by Maori people and it was made out of reeds. They used flax to tie the canoe altogether. The Maori people invented this idea so that they could go fishing for food and for travelling across the lakes, streams and rivers.
