Tortoise Soup

The gold group read a story called Tortoise Soup and after the reading they retold and summarised the story - first in pictures then by writing. It worked out really well because there were four chapters and four children in the gold group! Happy Reading!

Airport Drawings

In Room 1 we made some pictures and wrote stories about the planes and fire station at the airport. 

                        

Hurricanes

 

Hurricanes are really dangerous.  Hurricanes come in categories.  The categories are 1 – 5. They say not to ride a motorbike in a category 1+ because the swift winds could flip the motorbike so you are better of running to a car or clinging onto the ground very firmly.

Deserts : do you know what a desert is?

It is a very dry place. Deserts don't get much rain.

Most get less then 25 centimetres of rain a year.

 

Horrendous Hurricanes

We made a hurricane out of cardboard sellotape and glue. It was fun making a hurricane with Alexa.

Hurricane Wilma

We've made a model of a hurricane.  We've put some people running away and in the hurricane.  The animals are running into the barn because they are scared of the hurricane. 

The computers

You can play lots of different games and you can look up lots of information.  I like playing games on the computer.  I like online games because not as many people play them.  There are only a certain amount of people online, depending on what time you are online.  I like playing miniclip.  It is probably one of the most popular games.

The Dragon and the Knight

Once upon a time there was a knight and a dragon. They didn’t get along together. In fact the knight wanted to kill the dragon so they ended up fighting and one of them died.

Which one died though?

RRrrr!!! Went the Dragon…He started bursting out lightening and killed the knight!

 

Holes in the Tunnel House

Vandalism is happening at Waihola District School. Someone has been poking holes in the tunnel house!
WHO DID THIS?

I can’t believe that someone would poke some holes in the tunnel house! I reckon we could put up a security camera or get a policeman to get out his detective finger print gear. Whoever did this has to pay for new plastic.
